Prior to “washing ashore”on the Cape fifteen years ago, Dick was a senior bank officer and entrepreneur in Western Massachusetts. He is a former commercial lender with the Cape & Islands Community Development Corp. and an advisor to the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on technology transfer. For the prior eight years, Dick was active in establishing technology incubator programs both in the private and university sectors. He was a mentor to emerging technology companies in the area of corporate and market development and the acquisition of investment capital. Dick is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, a Navy veteran and a active board member of the Cape Cod Military Officers Association.
